Rebar (Reinforcement Steel)
Steel is used in reinforced concrete in the form of rebar or wire, which is called rebar steel. Rebar is produced in different countries in different standards, which are classified based on mechanical properties. This type of rebar is classified with A1, A2, and A3 standards (in accordance with Russian standards).
A1 rebars are smooth, and its yield strength is 2400 and its tensile strength is 3600 kg/cm2. A3 and A2 steel are produced in ribbed form, and the yield strength and tensile strength of A2 are 3400 and 5000, respectively, and A3 rebar is 4000 and 6000, respectively.
The diameter of the rebars also has different standards depending on the manufacturing plant.
